Testimony

What did our past athletes say...

This was a really fun and unique event, well organized, and great food at the finish. I plan to do it again next year.

Such a fun and amazing event! The pre event update emails was perfect. Very informative. LOVED the dry bag and zippie! There were volunteers to help get the kayaks to the water. Definitely recommended and will do again!

What a positive, upbeat event! So welcoming to all levels of fitness.

We love the flexibility of being an individual or team racer.

Great time, great day, had a lot of fun! Thanks so much, I look forward to doing it again next year! Appreciate all the volunteers and event organizers, best event, enjoy the combination of paddling and running at Higgins on beautiful Lake Coeur D Alene.😎

You can tell the race director really cares about this race and the athletes. The long course is a must, you won’t regret it. I had a smile on my face the whole time! Grab a group of friends and have the most amazing time.

Hands down, best kept secret in the area. Best race ever and everyone should do this event. So much fun and best organized and best swag ever. The Race Director is one of the best in the area.

Post race food, drink, and swag was rad. Atmosphere is just so positive. We loved it and cannot wait to come back next year.

About Our Event

Experience something new...

What is the Jen McKenna Paddle and Run? The event combines kayaking or SUP and running into one unique event.

Higgens Point, Coeur d'Alene

This charity event is in honor of Jennifer McKenna who passed away June 2019 of cystic fibrosis-related complications. She was 41 years old. Her surviving husband, Corey a seasoned triathlete, created this event in honor of his wife and the impact she had on the CdA community.

All of the proceeds collected will benefit All Heart Infusion of Spokane and Coeur d'Alene as well as the Children's Organ Transplant Association and go to families who have children with cystic fibrosis and are awaiting a lung transplant.
